I would like you to preceed as follows:

1.  the original 3D!!!pattern (not just a surface) is covering the whole city (no extra design!)

resulting in this image: 

then you define attractor points onto the filed

with the already existing GH definintion (see image below):

it will result in something like this image:

the fuzziness from the fiberous conditions on the tips of the 3D pattern, as discussed with Prof. del Campo, will add to the bluriness.
