precise and insightful research and analysis - good work like we discussed two weeks ago I like how your body is emerging out of an intensive field. Until the next meeting please work on the following two steps: 1. Try and find interesting rhythmic patterns, that help you to subdivide the space within the body (you can then use the same technique that you developed to create the body itself). The image with blue/ red circles on yellow background (4th panel: image on the left bottom corner)for example is already a good example. If you had a series or family of this images that could become a good guide for the space-subdivision pattern. Coming week we will help you to identify the best pattern. So it will be necessary that we have a couple of rhythmic patterns to choose from.
2. The next comments refers to the surface-population pattern (4th panel: image on the top right). I understand that the image just shows your intentions. Basically as in the step before please research different types of surface population in combination with the body they are populating. You did very good with your architectonic example of Frank Gehry's fish please find more images of architectural designs that are using the technique of surface population. There are even a lot of images on this blog.
After you had a look at what cell type creates which effect your next step is to create a couple of different population cells, so next week we can help you and identify the best combination of body, its subdivision pattern and its populating cells.
Thank you Li Xintian
